This webinar, designed for medical providers and researchers, will explore the unique challenges and opportunities in HIV prevention and sexual health for older adults. The session will begin with an overview of aging in the United States, including key demographics, HIV incidence and prevalence among older adults, and the specific factors that contribute to HIV vulnerability in this community. The discussion will also address barriers to HIV prevention at the individual, provider, and systems levels. This webinar will present key findings from the HPTN 083 study, focusing on STI robustness, changes in bone mineral density, hypertension, and HIV testing algorithms in older participants.
