A Primary Network Laboratory (PNL) is identified to serve as the primary point of contact for each CTU/CRS laboratory for laboratory-related issues in order to simplify communications between CTU/CRS laboratories, Network Lab Centers (LCs), and other groups, particularly at pluripotent (shared among networks) sites.
PNLs are responsible for communicating relevant information to the CTU/CRS labs, communicating relevant information from the CTU/CRS labs to all other LCs affiliated with the site, and working with QA partners on certain EQA Investigation Reports and method validations.
The CTU/CRS laboratory is responsible for copying the PNL on all correspondence with SMILE, VQA, IQA, CPQA, FSTRF, SCHARP, and UK NEQAS on all lab-related issues that could affect multiple networks. Likewise, these groups are expected to copy the appropriate PNL on communications with a CTU/CRS laboratory.
Due to changing needs and network-laboratory affiliations, PNL-laboratory affiliations are re-evaluated over time and subject to change.
